Being kind to yourself...

On Friday afternoon, Y6M had the opportunity to work with our Drama Therapist, Kate. We sat and had some time to reflect doing some meditating and discussed the ideas of worries and concerns. Kate told us about some books that discussed worries and things we can do to help us look after ourselves. We read extracts from, 'The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse' by Charlie Mackesy and  'The Huge Bag of Worries' by Virginia Ironside.

Kate showed us a worry bag and how heavy it can be to carry around lots of worries by yourself. We discussed our worries and concerns and then made our own worry bags, decorating them with positive messages and putting our worries inside. At the end of the session, we went in to the hall and created a web of kindness. This helped us to see that together we can lessen all of our worries and concerns by sharing the load.

Y6 would like to thank Kate for a lovely afternoon!
