Reception W 2021 - 2022
In the EYFS we challenge children to become independent learners and critcial thinkers through our continuous provision and targeted learning challenges. We are very excited to share all the amazing things we do in school with you. Please check out our page for regular updates and photos.
Welcome to Reception 1 where a love of learning is at the heart of everything we do! The teacher in our classroom is Mrs Walley, along with Mrs Grayson and we have the support of some fantastic teaching assistants, Mrs McGuinness, Miss Hibbert, Mrs Ashley, Mrs Tarr and Mrs Borg-Fennech.
Our class saint is St. Joseph, he was the husband of Mary, the mother of Jesus. St Joseph was a carpenter or woodworker. The Gospel of Matthew calls him a “righteous man,” meaning he was an observant Jew who obeyed God's law. On St Joseph's feast day the children in Reception will dress up as people who help us in our community.
