Online Safety During Lockdown

We understand during lockdown children will be accessing the internet a lot more, whether that is independently or supervised. Here is just a few websites to help you understand a little more about how to keep your child safe online. Click on the links to find out more.

This guide has been published by the DfE and includes an introduction on keeping safe online, as well as who to go to if you would like to report concerning behaviour online.

This NSPCC guide helps in understanding all different types of risk online.

Some age specific guidance on how to keep different ages safe online, from Nursery up to Year 6.

Here are some excellent parent guides for different apps, including TikTok, YouTube, other online games, WhatsApp and more. 

Here is some excellent advice about staying safe when gaming online using consoles, including for games such as Fifa, Call of Duty, Fortnite and Roblox.

Finally, remember to always try to have conversations with your child about what they are accessing online. Here is a guide to help you start these conversations.
