The glitter experiment!

Lesson: Science

Class: Year 1L Year: 2018 - 2019

Today we spoke all out germs!! We wanted to investigate just how easy it is for our germs to spread when we don’t wash our hands properly. We did this by completing the glitter experiment.

Mrs Grayson “sneezed” into her hand, she had lots of germs (glitter) in her hands and didn’t wash them! She then shook the hands of the volunteers and they also shook each other’s hands. The children could see the glitter spreading to each of the hands and realised just how far germs can really spread!

Y1S certainly have learnt the importance of washing our hands properly today!!

Welcome to Mount Carmel RC Primary; a place where we proclaim Christ’s message of hope and celebrate the uniqueness of each child.
