School Council elections

5W Elect their representatives for the school council

This week 5W held elections to appoint their representatives for the school council. During RE this week we had been fousing on our individual talents and qualities and how these make us unique. We looked at famous leaders, such as Barack Obama, and we discussed the qualities and talents someone like him would have needed to be the leader of a country like the USA. We managed to identify some wonderful qualities including, but not limited to:

• Integrity
• Honesty
• Dedication
• Passion
• Confidence

We had a fantastic number of children put themselves forward for the role and we listened to each and everyone give a short speech about why they wanted to represent 5W this year. This was followed by a secret ballot, which saw Grant and Lexie elected as school councillors.
