3S New topic - Solids, Liquids and Gases

This term we will be looking at the difference between Solids, Liquids and Gases!

We first went out outside and looked at the differences between the particles in solids, liquids and gases. We found out the particles in solids are very close together, in liquids they are a bit further apart and in gases they are very far apart!

We then did an experiment to find out a bit more about gas - does it weigh anything? We found out by weighing a bottle of pop while it had all its gas in, then after we had taken out all the gas by fizzing it up! We found out that the bottle of pop weighs less when it has no gas, meaning gas does have weight. We love Science!
