3S Trip to Touchstone
Date: 26th Nov 2018 @ 1:38pm
Year 3S enjoyed a wonderful trip to Touchstone Museum in Rochdale to learn all about the Stone Age!
We began by looking at different objects people would have used in the Early Stone Age, before looking at developments through time in the middle Stone Age, such as flint tools and weapons. We continuted by looking at the late Stone Age, where people began to farm and make decorative ornaments, right up into the Bronze and Iron age with the discovery of Iron Ore and the invasion of the Romans - bringing things like chickens with them!
We had a super day, and we even got to make our own clay pots at the end. We hope you enjoy the pictures!
