Ash Wednesday

Before Reception received their ashes, we talked about the symbolism of ashes and where there come from. The children learnt  that the ashes come from the palm leaves left over from last year's Palm Sunday and that they remind us of God loves for us. Reception children sat thoughtfully in a circle, thinking about their lenten promise as they waited to receive their ashes.
