Brainwave KS1
Date: 17th Sep 2018 @ 8:17pm
Today, we had a very special visitor in school... Professor Sparks. Professor Sparks spoke to the children in KS1 about their brilliant brains in an early morning assembly. Mini Mount Carmel scientists helped Professor Sparks explain how our brains work through a selection of experiments.
Throughout the day, the children learnt how their brain works, how to look after their brains and how to make it work even better.
Children took part in a variety of activities. Children learnt to speak some spanish, they solved puzzles and thought about their emotions.
At the end of the day, we had a lovely assembly and we thanked God for our brilliant brains!
Professor Sparks left us with this message
"You’ve got the brains, you’re doing well,
But there’s a secret I’ve got to tell.
To become a bright spark just like me,
You’ve got to listen and learn to see.
Knowledge and skills will show you the way,
Then magic will happen, to brighten your day."
