Ducks

Over the past 2 weeks we have been very lucky to have some fluffy visitors to our class.

Our eggs arrived and the children made predictions about what could be inside. Within the first 24 hours we watched one of the ducks hatch! It was magical. All 5 ducks hatched and we were thrilled. 

During this time, the children have learnt all about the life cycle of a duck and how to care for them, including what they eat, drink and their need for a clean cage and desire to swim. Watching the ducks swim was wonderful and brought lots of joy to our children. 

The ducks have now gone back to the farm where they will enjoy a large pond and lots of land to explore!
