Good morning Reception,

Here are your home learning activities for today. Keep posting to Tapestry and let us know if there are any issues.

1. Maths - play this estimating game:

Can you estimate how many small bricks (if you don't have small bricks at home, see if you can find something that is around the size of a piece of lego) will fit into your shoe. Write down your answer. Now fill your shoe, counting each brick as you go, were you right? What other things around the house can you fill and estimate?

2. Literacy - think about the story we have read this week, Tyrannosourus Drip. Watch it here if you want to hear it again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfvv9GLmaUM Look at the pictures from the story (in the PowerPoint) and see if you can put them in order. Start with the beginning of the story, then think about what happens in the middle, and what happens at the end. Now can you retell the story to a grown up?

3. Phase 3 Phonics - watch the phase 3 phonics video on new sound 'ear'.

4. PSE - We have been talking about what might be worrying us this week. Listen to this story and think about what could be on your mind that makes you worried. You could write about it, draw a picture or even make your own worry box. Don’t forget it’s always good to talk to your grown ups at home too!
