Frogs

This term Year 2 have been mad about frogs! We started the term with a tank of tadpoles and this morning we were delighted to find  that the tadpoles now have legs and  arms! We’ve looked after them well and  fed them daily on boiled spinach . We have changed the pond water regularly.  The little froglets will be returned to the pond in the half term holiday!  We have produced some fantastic writing including instructions on how to raise tadpoles and an explanation text on the life cycle of a frog. We’ve made a fabulous display in our classroom.

We have also read the story ‘Tadpoles Promise’ by Jeanne Willis. We loved the story but the ending surprised us all! We used this text as our inspiration for  poetry and some drama!  Take a look at some of our fantastic work.
