Jodrell Bank: Online Live!

As part of our science topic this term, 'Earth and Space', Year 5H took part in two amazing virtual lessons with Jodrell Bank. In the first lesson, we explored our solar system. We created our own solar systems, which helped us to fully understand where the planets are in relation to each other and how far they are from Earth. We even learned the science behind how a rocket launches into space and carried out an invesigation how to launch our own. In the second lesson, 'Space 101', we were able to ask an expert all sorts of questions about space and astonomy from the Big Bang to black holes. We watched some fabulous demonstrations and even got to see what the astronauts eat in space!
