Making potatoes

Date: 3rd Apr 2025 @ 5:27pm

One of our favourite five stories this term has been 'Oliver's vegetables'. Oliver doesn't care about fresh veg or nutritious food. But when he goes to stay with Grandpa, Oliver is forced to strike a bargain. If he can find enough potatoes in the vegetable patch, Oliver can have chips. But he's also got to eat all the other vegetables he finds during his hunt! We have enjoyed making chips just like Oliver did at the end of the story. First we dug them up, next we peeled them, after that we cut them and finally we cooked them in the air fryer. We enjoyed our chips during snack time. We like vegetables  just like Oliver.

Welcome to Mount Carmel RC Primary; a place where we proclaim Christ’s message of hope and celebrate the uniqueness of each child.
