Manchester Markets
Date: 12th Dec 2023 @ 6:24pm
This morning, Year 6 visited the Manchester Christmas Markets. We enjoyed exploring the different stalls and buying some Christmas treats. We also took the opportunity to see some famous landmarks in our local city such as St Anne's Church and the John Rylands Library. To link with our History unit, we visited Lincoln Square and learnt how the people of Manchester contributed to Abraham Lincoln's victory in the American Civil War through the cotton mills and the Triangle Trade. Finally, we practised our German skills by speaking to people at the markets and visiting football fans. We had a fantastic morning!
