Mystery Books!

The children in Reception had a surprise when they had to vote for their favourite book on World Book Day. Instead of voting because of the title, blurb or illustrations, the children were faced with a brightly wrapped up book. They did not know the title, the author, the illustrator or the blurb, instead they had to vote on the size or colour. This mystery created a lot of talk about what the books might be about and what the children hoped the stories would be. We had a big pile of mysteriously wrapped books that we have carried on voting for our books in this way. We are wondering what our next choice will be! So far we have read: Diggersaurus Mission to Mars, The Elves and the Shoemaker, What the Ladybird Heard Next, Toddle Waddle, Maisy Visits the Library.
