Remembering the Holy Souls in November

What a wonderful way to begin the special month of the Holy Souls! Our meditation began by remembering those we have loved who are waiting to be with God Our Father in Heaven, as well as all those who have died as a result of conflict and those who do not have anyone to pray for them. We continued our reflection by debating whether the “Day of the Dead” celebration is a respectful way to remember our loved ones who have died. The overall conclusion was that death is not scary because it unites us with God Our Father in Heaven. The bright and cheerful designs on our skulls helped us to celebrate the gifts, talents and memories of people we have loved.
