Why Elephant has a trunk.

This week in literacy we have been learning about the story, 'Why Elephant has a trunk'

We enjoyed retelling the story in our lessons. In guided time the children sequenced their own story and then retold it. We have also been enjoying retelling and reading the story in the book corner.

We are fantastic story tellers!

In the writing area the children wrote a sentence about what happened in the story. They used their phonic knowledge to sound out the words in their sentences.

We even made our own elephants in the malleable area.
