Attacking and defending

On Friday (1st December) our PE lesson focused on attacking and defending. We played a round robin series of Mat Ball with the class split into teams. We had to think about finding space for our teammates to throw the ball to us when we were attacking. Whilst defending, our focus was on closing down our opposition and trying to eliminate the space for them to pass and score.

There were some excellent throwing and catching skills on display, with a couple of long throw specialists evident as well. Throughout the lesson we developed our passing strategy, trying to pass around defenders and bypassing taller players. We were certainly out of breath by the end of the lesson!
