Keeping Safe
Lesson: PSHE and citizenship
Class: Year 3R Year: 2022 - 2023
This week, Year 3 have been thinking about how we stay safe in the different places we visit. We thought about the dangers of our school environment, home and when we are walking outside. We then thought about what we can do to stay safe.
In school, we have teachers to keep us safe, we can move sensibly around the corridors and we can hold onto the handrail when we are walking up and down the stairs.
At home, we need to be careful of cleaning chemicals, we need to listen to our parents and move sensibly around our houses.
Outside there are lots of things to be careful of. When we are crossing the road, we need to look both ways, hold an adult's hand and use crossings where we can. If we are near cables we have to be careful that we don't touch them and if we are near fire we know not to touch fireworks. Lots of us enjoy swimming but we know that near water we need to walk not run and not dive in unless an adult says it's ok.
We know how to be safe and we can't wait to explore and have fun safely!
