Our New Autumn Topic - Stone Age Scavengers!
Lesson: History
Class: Year 3R Year: 2018 - 2019
3S launched their new topic today with an awesome adventure in the woods - Stone Age Scavengers! We looked at the differences between life today and how people would have lived in Stone Age times.
First we looked at different places we could make a shelter - we found that trees were great as they protected us from wind and rain! Next we built our own fires to keep us warm, as close to the shelter as we could!
After that we needed to scavenge for food - we found out that Stone Age people would normally eat berries, seeds, nuts, small animals like rabbits and sometimes even plants like nettles!
Finally we learnt that Stone Age people did not use the same language as us - in fact they couldn't even talk! So we had a go at creating our own ways of talking to eachother, and even managed to do some of our own cave paintings on the ground. We hope you enjoy looking at our pictures!
