River Trip- Bolton Abbey

Y4 travelled to Bolton Abbey last Monday as part of their geography topic on rivers. The wet weather didn’t dampen the children’s spirits and the children had a great day. The children located the River Wharfe on a range of maps. The children studied the meanders in the river and discussed how erosion causes the river to bend. The children looked at further examples of erosion and deposition and learnt about how this happens.
